ABOUT MISSION Anchorage 2017

Anchorage is Alaska's largest city center where more than half of the state's population resides. With Anchorage serving as the hub, it is at the center of our focus of outreach to reach every corner of our state.

If you love kids, have a heart for the needy and want to make a difference in Alaska's population center, then Mission Anchorage is for you. Alaska Missions provide nutritious lunches to kids under 18 and facilitate outreach in the parks, trailer parks, apartment complexes as well as HUD housing units. They also host recreational activities, kids clubs, block parties and more. Alaska Missions will provide everything we need to serve for the week including meals and transportation.

Alaska Missions hosts collegiate volunteers who commit to working nine weeks in Anchorage.  At arrival we will team up their summer collegiate volunteers and work with them throughout the week at our assigned place of service.  Each day we will assist in providing lunch for children and youth at a designated park or housing project and then will spend the afternoon ministering to those children.  Each afternoon will include a Bible Club time.  The nine week project is intended to take each child through a discipleship plan.
